Guantanamo Bay Prisoners To Be Shipped Out on Discovery
David Hicks will be amongst the first seven Guantanamo Bay inmates to be sent to the International Space Station on board the Space Shuttle Discovery at the weekend.
The US Supreme Court has ruled that military commissions at Guantanamo Bay contravene the Geneva Convention, but the Geneva Convention's jurisdiction is confined to planet earth.
The Supreme Court decision found that people were being held unlawfully and were forced to wear an unfashionable shade of orange.
The Discovery solution creates a reason for having the International Space Station, which will not be finished until the end of the decade. Multiplex says the project is running late because of defective concrete in the foundations.
David Hicks trained with Al Qaeda at a remote secret training camp above a dry cleaners in Adelaide's Rundle Mall, and was eventually arrested in Afghanistan. He defends that he was in-transit on an Afghan Airlines flight to Europe.
