Join Matt and Trey as they take a stroll through the first volume of ten classic episodes that made the world stand still, then puke on the girl they like.

1.Awesom O
Cartman disguises himself as a robot named "AWESOM-O" (patterned after the robot ASIMO built by Honda) and puts himself in a crate on Butters' doorstep, planning to befriend a gullible Butters and thereby discover Butters' embarrassing secrets; but, to Cartman's shock, Butters tells "AWESOM-O" that he has a tape of Cartman dressed up like Britney Spears, making out with a cardboard cut-out of Justin Timberlake, and he plans to show it to the town next time Cartman plays a prank on him.

Cartman, terrified about this, searches Butters' room furiously for the tape -- but cannot take off the robot suit, or Butters will know "AWESOM-O" was another prank. Butters' parents (knowing who "AWESOM-O" really is but thinking it's an elaborate game that Butters is in on) decide to let "AWESOM-O" come with Butters on a trip to Los Angeles to visit a relative.

Left with no alternative, Cartman is forced to go, or else reveal his disguise.

In Hollywood, movie producers hear about the "robot" and decide to hire him from Butters to create movie ideas; Cartman, as the robot, pitches one thousand nonsensical ideas (800 of which star Adam Sandler), while Butters and the movie producers are gullible enough to buy them. Meanwhile, the U.S. Military hears about "AWESOM-O", and decides to capture him (using, for some reason, a van marked with the CIA seal) to make him into a weapon; they get Cartman, and hold him in a secret base.

Cartman tries to explain that he's really a kid, but when Butters shows up to rescue him, he has to stop. But the military believes that he is a robot with A.I that made it think it was human. He gets rescued, however, in the end: Cartman's fart reveals that he's really human. Butters' discovery of Cartman's plan leads to the entire town watching a video of Cartman as Britney Spears.

Best Friends Forever— Parker: “We went out to the animation staff and we’re like, ‘Okay, good news. We’ve come up with a show idea for this week. It’s going to be a final battle between heaven and hell.’ And they were just like, ‘Oh, shit.’”

(this may be the entire program)

Kenny is the first person in town to get a new PSP videogame system and becomes inseparable from it. Meanwhile, Cartman, who couldn't get his own because he was late getting to the store, grows jealous of Kenny's new toy.

Kenny quickly works his way up to level 59 of the game Heaven vs. Hell, but because of his parents' argument must complete the 60th level outside; there, he is hit by an ice-cream truck (driven by someone playing the same game who just reached level 4).

In Heaven, Kenny learns that God created the PSP to search for what the angels call "our Keanu Reeves" — the person who can command His legions against the forces of Hell in a manner like that of the videogame. (This situation is a spoof of The Last Starfighter, in which a young man is tested for piloting skills through a video game, and of Ender's Game - where a boy leads the armies of Earth against the "Buggers" while thinking he is playing a video game; the Keanu Reeves reference comes from his messianic roles, such as Neo in The Matrix and Constantine).

Unfortunately, Kenny is revived just after hearing this. Because he had been dead for too long, he cannot talk or communicate and has suffered permanent brain damage. He is kept alive through the use of a feeding tube. The reading of Kenny's will, in which Cartman is given the PSP (out of pity) and Stan and Kyle are given everything else, is interrupted by the announcement that Kenny is still alive.

The lawyer mentions a passage about Kenny's wishes in the event of him being in a vegetative state, but the last page is missing, making it impossible to tell what his wishes were.

As Satan's army begins to close in, the angels need Kenny dead so that they can win the battle of the Apocalypse. Meanwhile, Cartman, claiming his status as Kenny's "best friend forever" to the Colorado Supreme Court with the first half of the BFF medallion, gets an order to take out the feeding tube, and he removes the tube after tracking down and finding Kenny's other BFF medallion half.

Kyle and Stan, along with Kenny's parents and other protesters, including Skeeter and Mrs. Garrison (who gets arrested for trying to bring food and water to Kenny), wage a media war to put the feeding tube back in and keep Kenny alive, while Cartman enlists supporters of the rights of "best friends forever" to leave Kenny's feeding tube removed.

Scott Tenorman Must Die; Parker: “This is a very important episode in the ‘South Park’ library because it did definitely change Cartman. I mean, it took from kind of a little shit head to probably the most evil kid in the world.”

Cartman believes he has attained puberty by the acquisition of pubic hair. However, he has in fact merely purchased the pubic hair from an older boy, named Scott Tenorman, and feels conned when he is told that one actually has to grow pubic hair, not buy it.

After Cartman's attempts to get back his $10 result in failure, costing him an additional $6.12 in the process, and then the money is destroyed, he plots his revenge.

At first he attempts to get his friends on his side, but because Cartman is the only person who has been humiliated by Scott, none are interested. He decides to carry out his revenge alone.

Cartman's first plan involves training one of Farmer Denkins' ponies to bite Scott's wiener off. He trains one to attack a scarecrow with a carrot hanging from its pants. The pony doesn't bite it off the first time, instead fellating it. Jimbo and Ned, turn up, stating that the best way to humiliate Scott is to exploit his weaknesses.

After discovering that Scott likes the band Radiohead, Cartman comes up with "a li'l old scheme" (as he says in a Cockney accent) that involves dubbing his voice over that of Radiohead to make it appear that the band is telling Kurt Loder that Scott Tenorman is "totally not cool."

This plan fails, and Scott further humiliates Cartman by showing the entire town a movie of Cartman pretending to be a pig in order to get his money back.

Eventually, Cartman comes up with a new plan, one full of cunning, treachery and double-bluffs.

“Spoiled Whore Video Playset” “Most of the time when people ask us about, you know, ripping on celebrities and featuring celebrities in the show, I always say, ‘Well, you know, it’s not personal.

It’s just ripping on the idea of celebrity itself. You know, it’s just kind of this absurdist thing that we do.’ But then you look at this episode and it really isn’t that. We have to stop little girls from looking up to Paris Hilton.”

(entire program I think)

The episode opens with a small crowd, including Wendy Testaburger, Bebe Stevens and others, gathered to see Paris Hilton make an appearance at the local mall. Wendy is rebuffed by her friends for not knowing who Hilton is, and Hilton enters to the cheering crowd.

Hilton presents herself as "totally spoiled and snobby" and "a whore" according to onlookers, and announces the opening of a store called "Stupid Spoiled Whore" in South Park. The girls enter and discover, among other things, lewd clothing and a perfume entitled "Skanque". Wendy is upset by the blatant objectification of women.

Later that day, Wendy goes over to a friend's house and is quickly confronted with the Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset, an obvious reference to the Paris Hilton Sex Tape scandal that occurred several months prior.

The kit takes jabs at Hilton by describing its contents as including "a night vision filter, fake money, losable cell phone, and 16 hits of ecstasy!" Meanwhile, Hilton is in fits over the suicide of her dog, Tinkerbell. In her throes of sorrow, she sees Butters, inexplicably forces him to wear a bear costume and demands that he come with her as her replacement pet, "Mr. Biggles."

Wendy tricks her father into going to the Stupid Spoiled Whore store, and while he is initially appalled at what is sold there, is quickly manipulated into accepting the store, assuring Wendy he'll make her the "Stupidest, most spoiled whore of them all!".

Bebe announces a "Stupid Spoiled Whore" party at her house and invites everyone at the school, except Cartman. At the same time, Butters introduces Paris Hilton to his parents, to whom Hilton offers 200 million dollars for custody of Butters. Butters' parents accept the offer after raising her to 250 million.

“Trapped in the Closet” “We’re pretty sure it’s going be one of our most infamous ever, I think, just because of all the hubbub it caused. I don’t think we’ve ever had a single episode that has stirred up this much unwanted and wanted attention.”

Stan is saving his money for a bike, so he can't join Kyle, Cartman and Kenny when they go off to play laser tag. Opting for something that is "fun and free,"

Stan takes a personality test that is being offered by the Scientologists. After answering a long questionnaire, Stan is informed that he is "one messed up kid" who is "completely miserable and totally depressed" even though he didn't know it. Fortunately, this makes him a perfect candidate for Scientology—they offer to help him out for $240.

Back at home, Stan asks his parents for the money to help him with his depression. His father suggests that he use the money he has been saving for a new bike. After he pays, Stan is taken into an auditing room with Michelle, who gives him a brief history of Scientology and reads his "thetan levels" using a device called an "E-meter."

Michelle is shocked by the high reading, and tries several different meters before pointing these readings out to a higher-up, who faxes the results to the Scientology headquarters in Los Angeles. There, Scientology’s president reviews the results and determines that, because his reading is so high, Stan must be a reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology’s founder and prophet.

Back in South Park, Stan is taking out the garbage when he notices a large group of people outside. A large group of Scientologists, including John Travolta (complete with his Welcome Back Kotter accent), have gathered there to celebrate Stan's "second coming." The President of Scientology arrives in a helicopter and goes inside to talk with Stan’s parents.

Stan's parents oppose his being in the group, but the president informs Randy Marsh that "We're not asking him to join us; we're asking him to lead us." Randy sends his son Stan, confused and exhausted, to his room where he finds Tom Cruise waiting for him. Cruise, thinking Stan is genuinely Hubbard's reincarnation, asks his prophet whether he enjoyed his acting and what film he liked best.

When Stan tells Cruise that his acting is not as good as Leonardo DiCaprio, Gene Hackman or "that guy" from Napoleon Dynamite," but that he is "okay," Tom yells in agony, runs, and locks himself into Stan's bedroom closet, believing he is "a failure in the eyes of the prophet."

Oh no!
These South park clips may disappear off Youtube!

The site late last week began purging copyrighted material from Comedy Central, including clips from YouTube stalwarts like “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report” and “South Park.”

The action was “a result of third-party notification by Comedy Central,” according to one such e-mail message sent to a YouTube user, Jeff Reifman, who broke the news on the Web site NewsCloud.

A week earlier, nearly 30,000 clips of TV shows, movies and music videos were taken down after the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers cited copyright infringement.

YouTube did not respond to repeated messages left over the weekend.

The situation is tricky for a network like Comedy Central, part of Viacom. Its audience is young and technologically sophisticated, and Comedy Central stars in the past have used YouTube and clip services to interact with their audience.
