A cricketing record that may never be broken

International cricket is always breaking new records, however this is one record that will most probably never get beaten again.

Australian Players scored the following

44 Doug Walters

45 Rod Marsh

But the greatest score happened on route to the 1989 Ashes series

52 David Boon.

What do the numbers represent?

The amount of cans of beer drunk on a flight between Australia and England.

Another report of said record claims Boon finished 54 drinks totalling around 19.5 liters of beverages @ 5% alcohol (per 375ml serve), the majority of which consumed at such an altitude that the effects of the alcohol were doubled.

Boon is often jokingly referred to as the "Keg on Legs" because of his legendary drinking exploits and dogged, iconoclastic batting displays.

David Boon was able to leave the plane unaided but wisely was kept away from the airport press conference
