A huge suspended LED screen forms the centerpiece of The Place, a new retail development in Beijing's central business district.

The Skyscreen is 250 m long and 30 m wide, and was built with an investment of RMB 250 million ($32 million).

The screen is suspended six stories high (80 feet) above a plaza between two new retail centers and is actually five screens combined.

That's an impressive 7,500 square meters of viewable area, and comes with an impressive $32 million price tag to match.

The five individual displays have been combined to form the giant screen, but the displays can also operate individually and show images in film or TV format.

The screens have connections to play giant video games, and can broadcast live events, as well as showing televised events. They can advertise products, and there is even a section where visitors can upload photos of themselves or their friends.

Watching the video below it seems to seemlessley combine the 5 video screens, I only saw one line between them.

Really cool. You have to hand it to these Chinese folk. They have shown how hard work and ruthless determination will get you where you want to be.

Now I wonder if those screens are also made in china?
