Shaolin Kung Fu vs Tae kwon do - an old Martial Arts Video
Here is something you don't see very often an old video showing a Shaolin monk vrs a black belt Tae kwon do person.
The fluidity of the monk is amazing, but that final double kick seems to be more for show than effect :)

When I was learning Taekwondo I once sparred with a guy who was doing Kung fu too. It was quite irritating sparing with him because their strikes are
more aimed at making you trip or loose your balance or some such. Where as Japanese and Korean martial arts emphasize more on the techniques to
deliver powerful blows, with each blow counting a lot. The Chinese martial arts seemed more interested in rapid strikes and movement.
This is most evident in the way the Chinese and the Japanese approach sword arts. The chinese sword arts ask for so many quick movements of flourishes
and parrying attacks. Where as the Japanese sword arts demand powerful and precise strikes with great emphasis on technique.
