Building demolition goes wrong when building rolls over on roof

In a case of really bad planning a controlled demolition of a building in Turkey saw it merely roll over upside down. How are they going to demolish it now? It would be unsafe to enter or climb.

That was a really solid building, being an earthquake area it is a testament to the builders that it stays in one piece like that.

A plan to demolish a building in Cankiri, central Turkey went badly wrong when the 25-metre high structure rolled over onto its roof.

The building, a flour factory built in 1928 which had been idle since the 1980s, was scheduled to be demolished to make way for a shopping centre.

No-one was reported to have been injured.

That's one heck of a sturdy building. Wonder who built it.

Actually I read somewhere it was built in the 1920's in an earthquake prone area of Turkey. So its super reinforced. Thats pretty good considering how badly built buildings are usually. I wonder what they will do to remove it. Just blow it up I suspect.
